In 2017 I had a silver medal at a national championship event, numerous age category first places, as well as 26 course and distance PBs, but the achievement in the picture below was possibly my highlight of the year! (In fairness Seb probably doesn’t train as much as he used to.)

This period had the 2018 National Masters Indoor track season as a target. The aim was to achieve national medals at 1500m and 3000m and to set new personal bests at both distances. It was a successful outcome culminating in two gold medal winning performances.

Unfortunately the period ended with illness and injury – a pulled muscle in the lower calf of left leg during a hard club training session – and a period of rehabilitation required before a busy racing calendar starting in April.
